Drawing & Specification Intake

Send us engineering drawings, project specs, or field measurements and sketches from the mine or plant site, and we’ll scope the fabrication work from there.

Revit MEP Detailing & Shop Drawings

Our detailer builds a 3D Revit model and develops shop drawings before any material is ordered, so structural supports and mechanical components are dimensionally correct before fabrication starts.

Material Procurement

Carbon steel, stainless steel, and wear-resistant plate are procured to match your project’s load, abrasion, and corrosion requirements.

Cutting, Forming & Fit-Up

Components are cut, formed, and fit up before welding begins, with fitters and welders working through each assembly together.

CWB-Certified Welding

All welding is performed by CWB-certified welders, in accordance with safety standards and approved welding procedures for structural and mechanical fabrication.

Non-Destructive Testing & Quality Assurance Inspection

Every weld receives a visual inspection. In-house radiographic and dye-penetrant testing is available for shop fabrication, and third-party inspection can be arranged for field welds where your specification requires it.

Post-Weld Treatment

Stainless steel components are pickled and passivated before shipping. Carbon steel components are inspected and staged for delivery.

Final Quality Assurance Documentation & Delivery

Finished components receive a final quality assurance check and identification tagging before shipping via Maplevale’s flatbed, tri-axle stepdeck, or five-ton fleet, or installation on-site through our mobile welding service.

Can you fabricate from field measurements or a rough sketch of a worn component?

Yes. Send us field dimensions or a hand-drawn sketch, and our in-house detailer will use Revit MEP to convert it into a complete fabrication package. This is useful for replacing worn or damaged mining components when formal engineering drawings aren’t available.

What certifications does your mining fabrication work meet?

Our welders adhere to the highest standards and are CWB-certified, and our fabrication meets CSA B51 and ASME B31.1/B31.3 codes. We’re also NSF/ANSI 61 certified and TSSA registered for pressure vessel and pressure-piping work, and signatory to UA Local 67. If your mine site requires documentation we don’t currently list, contact our team before your project starts.

Do you offer on-site welding for mine-site repairs?

Yes. Our mobile welding service brings a fully equipped rig to your site for fit-up, modifications, and repairs, and we accommodate both same-day emergency call-outs and scheduled preventative maintenance. Field welds are verified by an independent third-party inspector where testing is required.

What is your lead time for mining fabrication projects?

Most projects are completed in 2–3 weeks. For urgent structural or mechanical repairs affecting mine-site operations, contact our team early. We take on rush work when other shops are backed up.

Do you handle emergency repairs for mine-site equipment?

Yes. Our mobile welding service accommodates same-day emergency call-outs for damaged structural supports or mechanical components at your mine site, in addition to scheduled field work. There’s no fixed list of exclusions for field repairs, so if a component is down and holding up your operation, contact our team directly, and we’ll assess the scope right away. In critical situations, we can turn around a solution in as little as 24 hours. Field welds are verified by an independent third-party inspector where testing is required, and emergency work is estimated and quoted the same way as shop work.
