WHY MAPLEVALE FABRICATIONS

Why Contractors Choose Our Oil and Gas Fabrication Services

Tight timelines leave little room for delays. You need a fabrication shop that understands what’s at stake and can deliver the exact results it promises.

When project scopes change or production bottlenecks occur, Maplevale Fabrications keeps work on track with emergency rework, fast turnarounds for custom fittings, and competitive pricing. Our advanced in-house detailing and agile scheduling allow us to respond quickly to complex challenges, helping you avoid costly delays and protect your bottom line.

That same commitment extends to planned shutdowns and plant upgrades. We work with your team to pre-fabricate replacement piping, verify pressure and material specifications, and coordinate deliveries, so every component arrives ready when you need it.

We fabricate carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components to meet compliance standards under:

  • CWB certification
  • TSSA registration and CSA B51
  • ASME B31.1 and B31.3
  • NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 certification

Fast-Turn Lead Times

Your time-sensitive projects get immediate priority. While other fabrication shops contend with multi-week backlogs, our flexible production scheduling allows us to execute rush jobs and critical reworks.

Clear & Competitive Pricing

Expect straightforward, upfront pricing with zero hidden fees. We deliver accurate, competitive quotes aligned with your required specifications even as project scopes adapt.

In-House 3D Revit MEP Detailing

Eliminate field fit-up errors before cutting begins. We use advanced technology to produce 3D Revit models, material takeoffs, and exact cut lists, so the fabricated components we ship match your specifications before fabrication begins.

Sketch to Fabrication

Unlike other shops, we work with your field dimensions or sketches to develop proper fabrication drawings.

UA Local 46 & 67 Signatory

Maplevale is a signatory to UA Local 67 and UA Local 46, the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry of the United States and Canada.

How It Works

Our Oil and Gas Metal Fabrication Process

Our manufacturing workflow follows the same documented process across our shop, with each stage tailored to your project requirements.

01

Drawing and Scope Review

Send your drawings, component dimensions, material requirements, delivery location, and timeline. We’ll review the package and scope the fabrication work from there.

02

Revit MEP Detailing and Shop Drawings

Accurate drawings help prevent costly mistakes before fabrication begins. Our in-house detailer produces 3D models, shop drawings, material takeoffs, and cut lists to coordinate connections, reduce material waste, and improve production efficiency.

03

Material Procurement

We source approved raw materials for the job and maintain applicable material records and traceability documentation as required by the specification. We account for material grades, durability, and corrosion resistance.

04

Cutting, Forming, & Fit-Up

Our high-precision fabrication processes include cutting and preparing pipe sections and structural steel to approved dimensions. Fit-up checks ensure strong joints and reduce errors before welding.

Welding & Assembly

CWB-certified welders follow approved procedures that specify material, pressure, and inspection requirements to ensure compliance with applicable industry standards.

06

Non-Destructive Testing & Quality Assurance Inspection

Every weld receives a visual inspection, with In-house radiographic and dye-penetrant testing available to detect subsurface flaws. Third-party inspection can be arranged for field welds where your specification requires it.

07

Post-Weld Treatment

Where required, stainless-steel components are pickled and passivated. Carbon-steel components receive the specified preparation or finish before final inspection and shipment.

Documentation & Delivery

At the final stage of fabrication, components undergo a final quality assurance check and identification tagging before shipping via Maplevale’s flatbed, tri-axle stepdeck, or five-ton fleet, or for on-site installation through our mobile welding service.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of oil and gas facilities can Maplevale support?

We review fabrication packages for processing plants, terminals, storage facilities, and other industrial sites serving the oil and gas industry. Our capabilities include custom piping, equipment connections, structural supports, and replacement components for maintenance, retrofits, and plant upgrades.

Can fabricated parts handle extreme conditions in oil and gas environments?

To help fabricated components withstand extreme conditions, including high operating pressures, heavy use, outdoor elements, and corrosive environments, we work to approved drawings, material specifications, and established welding procedures. Quality checks and inspections during the manufacturing process play a crucial role in upholding structural integrity and ensuring safety.

Can Maplevale support urgent maintenance and shutdown work?

Yes. We assess time-sensitive replacements, rework, and selected field welding required for the oil and gas industry. Lead times depend on shop capacity, materials, site access, and testing requirements. Send your specifications and required date so we can discuss availability.

How quickly does Maplevale respond to emergency fabrication requests?

We aim to respond to urgent inquiries within 24 hours. Southern Ontario is our service area for mobile welding and field support. Please note that this is a response target, not a guaranteed on-site arrival or repair completion time. Responsive service availability depends on location, materials, safety requirements, and inspection needs.

Does Maplevale fabricate custom storage tanks?

Yes. Maplevale offers custom tank fabrication for the safe storage of liquids and hazardous materials. We review storage tank requirements individually, including material selection, capacity, coating specifications, and regulatory compliance.

Does Maplevale build drilling rigs, pipelines, or offshore oil rigs?

No. Maplevale does not provide drilling, gas extraction, turnkey pipeline construction, or fabrication of offshore rigs and offshore platforms. Our focus is on custom piping and structural fabrication for oil and gas facilities; standalone components are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Does Maplevale provide fabrication for an oil refinery or petrochemical plant?

We can assess oil refinery and petrochemical fabrication requests involving custom pipe spools, supports, fittings, and equipment connections. Send us the drawings, materials, pressure class, and applicable codes so we can confirm whether the work fits our capabilities.

Can Maplevale work from field measurements if the original drawings are unavailable?

Yes. We can use field measurements, sketches, legacy drawings, or an existing component to develop shop drawings for replacement piping and fittings. Your team remains responsible for approving the design, service conditions, and final dimensions before fabrication.
